The LGC22 is a powerful controller and sequencer designed for electric retractable landing gear and brake systems. Developed for demanding RC aircraft applications, it combines landing gear control, brake management, steering servo functionality, and door sequencing in a single compact unit.

The system can be operated either through a single channel, combining landing gear and brake control, or through separate channels for independent gear and brake operation. The LGC22 supports up to three electric retract units and allows individual delay programming for each gear during both extension and retraction sequences.

Landing Gear Control

Electronic Brake Control

The integrated brake controller provides precise and realistic operation of electric brake systems:

• Fully proportional brake control
• Adjustable maximum brake force
• Continuous braking mode or pulsed operation
• 10-level adjustable pulse ratio for an ABS-like braking effect

Steering Servo Function

The LGC22 features an integrated steering servo processor, allowing operation from the same channel as the rudder servo while maintaining independent settings.

• Independently adjustable center position, travel range, and direction
• Compatible with shared rudder/steering channel operation
• Automatic centering and deactivation of the steering servo during gear operation and while the landing gear is retracted

Landing Gear Door Control

• 3 independent servo outputs for landing gear doors
• Each output can be programmed with three different positions:
  • Gear Retracted
  • Gear Extended
  • Gear In Motion

To protect door servos from excessive load, an automatic servo shut-off function can be programmed after movement is completed, reducing the risk of servo damage caused by jammed or obstructed doors.

Manual Operation Mode

For setup, testing, and maintenance, the LGC22 offers comprehensive manual control functions:

• Manually cycle the landing gear sequence
• Stop and resume movement at any position
• Independently drive retract motors in either direction
• Easily verify clearances, travel limits, and installation geometry

Motor Setup and Maintenance Functions

• Adjustable motor cut-off current up to 2.5 A
• Adjustable timeout period up to 30 seconds
• Integrated cycle counter for scheduled maintenance tracking

Note: This feature may not be available on some complete retract systems supplied with integrated controllers.

Easy Programming

All settings can be configured conveniently through a data terminal using plain-text menus.

Additional features include:

• Integrated electronic main battery switch
• Operating voltage: 6 to 10 V
• Alternative programming via LED and push-button interface
• Compatible with Xicoy data terminals used on Xicoy ECU systems

Compatibility

For retract systems equipped with white Molex connectors, an appropriate adapter cable set is required.

Important Notice

Improper programming or excessive motor load can result in damage to retract motors.

For this reason, Xicoy does not provide model-specific settings for third-party retract systems. Only the information contained within the user manual should be used. Always consult the retract manufacturer to obtain the correct settings for your landing gear system.
