The PowerBox Sensor is probably the best-known product in the PowerBox portfolio. Thanks to its two voltage regulators it can be used almost anywhere where double safety and modern battery technology need to be combined. Its small design and low weight make it easy to install in small to medium-sized models.

The PowerBox Sensor is a genuinely redundant power supply system, and is in no way inferior to its big brothers when it comes to safety. It incorporates two completely independent control and switching systems. This not only doubles the number of connected batteries, as with all other comparable products on the market, but also ensures that the PowerBox Sensor can be used in a wide range of applications: In fact, two microcontrollers, two control and switching circuits and double voltage monitoring are built in.

In order to be able to use all modern batteries such as LiPo and LiFePo, the two built-in regulators reduce the voltage to 5.9V, which is compatible with 6V servos. 5s NiMH batteries can also be used, but when the batteries are fully charged the voltage is also cut to 5.9V if the voltage is too high. This increases the service life of the servos and ensures constant torque and speed, regardless of the battery charge level.

The two 3-colour LEDs indicate the charge level of the batteries in four steps. To give even more control over the batteries, a minimum value memory stores the lowest voltage value which occurred during flight. After the flight the minimum value can be read from the LED's using keys I and II.
