Xicoy X132 – The New Benchmark in the 90 mm Engine Class
In the late 1990s, Wren Turbines introduced the legendary MW54, setting a new standard for compact turbine design.
Delivering 54 N of thrust with a 90 mm can diameter, it was considerably smaller than the typical engines of the era, which were based on the KJ66 design and measured around 110 mm.
Over time, performance in the 90 mm class steadily increased, with many manufacturers offering engines delivering up to 100 N.
At Christmas 2020, Xicoy advanced the category again by launching the X120, achieving 120 N of thrust with notably improved fuel efficiency.
Now, after nearly 600 X120 units sold, the next evolution has arrived.
During 2022–2023, the X120 was completely redesigned internally — applying everything learned from two years of continuous turbine development.
This required significant investment in new molds for a turbine wheel, turbine stator, and a new compressor, along with extensive improvements to the combustion chamber and the entire rotating group.
The result is the X132:
A turbine with the same size and weight as the original X120, but with 10% more performance, delivering 132 N of thrust with similar fuel consumption.
Equipped with the same lightweight electronic system found in all Xicoy engines, the X132 offers quick, clean installation, and incorporates FlexThrust™ Technology, providing adjustable thrust from 60 N to 132 N at the press of a button.
The X132 is ideal for the broad range of popular sport, scale, and aerobatic jets designed for turbines between 60 N and 130+ N.
