product description
Xicoy X45 – Compact Power. Technical Precision.
The X45 is Xicoy’s first fully in-house turbine development — a high-performance micro jet engine engineered for the small-jet and foam-jet segment, redefining what is achievable in this class.
Combining advanced mechanical engineering, digital control architecture, and intelligent software, the X45 sets a new benchmark for compact propulsion.
Weighing only around 400 g, with a diameter of under 60 mm and a length of 165 mm, the X45 delivers an impressive 45 N (10 lbf / 4.5 kg) of thrust.
At idle, thrust drops to just 1.8 N (0.18 kg / 0.4 lbf), providing exceptional control authority and smooth, predictable approaches.
Engineered With Purpose
The X45 features a fully integrated kerostart system and operates reliably on kerosene or diesel, with all valves built inside the turbine.
Installation is minimalistic: a single 3-wire cable and one 4 mm fuel line are all that is required.
A replaceable FOD screen is included to protect the precision compressor.
The high-speed brushless starter enables a remarkable start-to-idle time of under 25 seconds, while the ultra-small intelligent brushless fuel pump requires no priming, adjustments, or calibration.
All control functions are built directly into the engine electronics:
The X45 uses a fully integrated ECU, eliminating the need for any external control box.
A compact external ProHub connects the battery (2S LiPo / 3S LiFe), the fuel pump, sensors, and an optional display.
This ensures a clean, streamlined installation.
The total installed system weight (engine, pump, leads) is only 470 g, excluding the battery.
Next-Generation Digital Control
The X45 introduces Xicoy’s new single-wire digital control platform, built on high-speed microcontrollers and state-of-the-art signal processing.
It is not backward compatible with previous FADEC systems, enabling Xicoy to utilize the latest and most capable electronic components.
This architecture forms the foundation of all future Xicoy turbines — a significant step forward in modern micro-turbine technology.
