Xicoy X95 – High-Output Performance in the Proven 76 mm Class
In the early 2000s, Wren Turbines introduced the legendary Wren44, then the smallest turbine engine available.
With a diameter of only 76 mm and an initial thrust of 30 N—later increased to 50 N—it quickly defined a new standard in compact turbine design.
Over the years, this size category has become synonymous with engines delivering 45 N to 70 N of thrust.
The Xicoy X95 takes this established format and pushes it far beyond traditional limits.
With an output of 95 N, it delivers almost three times the power of the original MW44—while maintaining a lower overall weight than comparable engines.
The X95 shares the same external dimensions as the previous X85 and X90 models but features entirely new internal components, including a redesigned rotor, stator and combustion chamber.
Thanks to FlexThrust™ technology, the X95 can be installed in any airframe designed for 76 mm turbines—whether originally intended for 45 N engines or significantly larger models requiring up to 95 N.
This dramatically increases your aircraft options when planning your next project.
As with all Xicoy engines, the purpose-designed X95 electronics ensure a clean, lightweight and straightforward installation.
And in one of the most demanding areas of turbine engineering—Specific Fuel Consumption (SPFC)—the X95 sets a new benchmark, offering the lowest SPFC in its class.
